Job Description Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is actively seeking part-time Food Service Prep/Cooks to join its food services program. As a member of the team, the Food Services Prep/Cook is an entry-level position that performs essential food preparations tasks as a member of the food services team to prepare meals for DBH clients and other company activities.
Job Duties The Food Services Prep/Cook is responsible for the following job essential job duties:
- Dishwashing
- Food preparation
- Food service
- Maintaining cleanliness in food preparation stations
- Food delivery
- Stocking products
- Ensuring food safety
- Other tasks, as assigned
Location The DBH Food Service program operates out of the Behavioral Health Layton Campus located at 2250 North Robins Dr., Layton, Utah 84041
Shift The DBH kitchen operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The shifts assigned to these vacancies are outlined below:
Position 1 - Evenings
- Monday through Friday 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Flexibility is needed to work both before and after the standard shifts.
Compensation The starting pay for the Food Service Helper is $13.00 per hour.
Required Experience Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- All employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug screening. Since Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants the company and its employees must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- A clean driving record is also required to utilize the DBH vehicle fleet.
Skills & Abilities
The Food Services Helper must possess the following skills, abilities, and qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Ability to manage time and efforts efficiently.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to complete delegated tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate proper and safe knife procedures.
- Ability to read recipes and adjust to prepare meals for required number of clients.
- Be a self-starter.
Benefits The part-time Food Service Helper position is not eligible to participate in the agency's benefits program.
