REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator/Cook
JOB GOAL: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve food in a quick and pleasant manner.
- Assume responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods the supplies of food offered are replenished regularly.
- Assist in the clean up of the kitchen, serving areas and cafeteria.
- Perform major cleaning of refrigerator and storage rooms at intervals scheduled by the Site Coordinator/Cook.
- Assume responsibility for the storage and disposal of unused food.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwasher, slicer, stove and other appliances.
- Frequent physical effort demanded in walking and standing, lifting containers and trays weighing up to 50 pounds, while under conditions of some discomfort due to heat.
- May be expected to fill in other positions in the kitchen or cafeteria because of absences.
- Perform general cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Perform routine duties assigned in the kitchen, including the collection of lunch monies and recording of the number of meals sold, including milk.
- Make daily accounting of monies received, numbers of meals served, amount of milk sold, and prepare appropriate bank deposits.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School Year
HOURLY SALARY: $15.65
HOURS/DAY: 6.5 hours
