Responsibilities: The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing the food service program, ensuring high food quality standards and effective inventory management while adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.
- Lead and support food service team members to meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of financials, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
- Conduct staff training and quality control; perform duties of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
- Effectively communicate directives and expectations to HCSG staff.
- Follow safety procedures and report any equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sanitary environment.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality; complete tasks on time.
- Represent HCSG positively in all interactions with staff, residents, and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Dietetic Services Supervisor (DSS), or a 4-year degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required.
- Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
- Two years of experience in food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
- Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
- Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and effective communication with team members and leadership.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds; able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills necessary for record-keeping and reporting.
- Residency within the service area is required.
