Job Summary: Food Service Assistant is responsible for providing a high-quality dining experience for clients by assisting with meal and snack services, and cleaning duties consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.

MOAR provides an array of services: Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilities. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost-effective services for adults and children.
Hourly Base Rate: $18.00 per hour
$1,500 Retention Bonus for full-time staff paid out over 1 year.Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 1:30pm-3:30pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Food Service Assistant-ADS: - Complete cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, utensils and kitchen areas and related documentation.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing of other department areas as needed.
- Assist with departmental laundry services as needed.
- Works harmoniously with and shows respect for employees, supervisors, vendors and consumers.
- Completes other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Previous experience working with clients with I/DD is helpful
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Able to be flexible
- Basic competency in use of a computer
- Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain "qualified" status
- Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General
- Must be able to successfully complete company's physical job demands document
- If using own vehicle for company business, must have a current valid driver's license and must have insurance as required by state law
