The Division of Adult Institution is recruiting to fill a
Food Service Administrator position . This position is based out of Redgranite Correctional Institution located in Redgranite, WI.
Position Summary This position is responsible for the planning, direction and operation of a complex food service program at the Redgranite Correctional Institution, a medium security institution for adult males. The institution food service administrator is responsible for the preparation, distribution and service of meals and medically ordered modified diets for the inmate population and staff members. This position is responsible for supervision of staff and inmates, implementation of a modified diet program, maintenance of security, budgeting, safety and sanitation, and the maintenance of supplies and services. In addition, this position assures that daily nutritional needs are met within a designated meal pattern.
Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 81-03 with with an annual salary of $55889 - $92206. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Remote work is not an option for this position. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have: - Experience with sanitation in a major food production setting by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food safety, and monitoring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Experience with food preparation, experience with nutrition and/or quality assessment (including modified and/or medically restricted diets).
- Training and/or experience pertaining to food related health, safety, sanitation, and security.
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have:
- Leadership and/or supervision experience (e.g. hiring, training, assigning and directing work, performance evaluations, discipline, dismissal, settling grievances, etc.)
- Experience planning, developing, and operating a large-scale food production/food service program (i.e., menu development, budget, food estimates, cost control, etc.) serving 500 to 1500 or more per meal each day.
Special Qualification: Employee must obtain ServSafe Certification within six months of hire.
