As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our products, ensuring compliance with global food safety standards, and driving continuous improvements in our quality systems. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success. You will work closely with various teams, including production, supply chain, and product development, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures in line with global food safety standards.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and quality assurance standards.
3. Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing them with guidance, training, and support.
4. Collaborate with various teams to drive continuous improvements in our quality systems.
5. Investigate and resolve any issues related to food safety and quality assurance.
6. Provide technical expertise and advice on food safety and quality assurance to various stakeholders.
7. Monitor and analyze quality performance data and develop strategies to improve quality performance.
8. Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and maintained, including HACCP, GMP, and FDA regulations.
9. Participate in the development and implementation of new products, ensuring that food safety and quality assurance considerations are taken into account.
10. Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance in the manufacturing industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of global food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and FDA regulations.
4. Proven experience in developing and implementing food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues related to food safety and quality assurance.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze quality performance data and develop strategies to improve quality performance.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
9. Proficiency in using quality management systems and related software.
10. Certification in food safety and quality assurance, such as Certified Food Safety Professional (CFSP), would be an advantage.
