Expeditor/ Food Runner
Reports directly to:
Executive Chef / Sous Chef
Job Overview:
The Expeditor/ Food Runner is the last safeguard before food is taken from the back of house to the guest in the dining room. This person is the last inspection of the final product from the culinary team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to company specification
- Ensure picture perfect plate presentation
- Ensure all special requests as outlined on the server check are met before the dish is delivered to the guest
- Communicate directly with the inside expo/ assigned kitchen lead
- Respectfully "push-back" anything that needs improvement before it is served to a guest
- Report any and all smallware needs to your supervisor
- Operate meeting all health and safety standards
- Be a team player, Teamwork is the collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal or to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way.
