Job Description Summary
Loch Lloyd Country Club is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our Food & Beverage operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills to create a vibrant and sophisticated dining experience for our members. As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service, managing events, and supporting a dedicated team to meet the expectations of our members and guests.

Job Description

Essential Functions:
  • Create a Vibrant Atmosphere: Foster an engaging and energetic environment where associates are passionate about culinary arts, wine, and exceptional service.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Culinary, Events, and Golf Teams to organize and execute all club events. Ensure events are well-coordinated and that member and guest expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with the Food & Beverage Directors and Club Leadership to plan events, including managing event logistics like linen ordering, booking entertainment, purchasing alcohol, and renting necessary equipment.
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee the daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and that the setup and breakdown for special events are conducted seamlessly.
  • Scheduling & Staffing: Efficiently manage staffing schedules on a daily, weekly, and bi-weekly basis, ensuring adequate coverage while maintaining financial goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverage products offered meet the highest quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Member Relations: Address and resolve member and guest complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues to the appropriate leadership when necessary.
  • Performance Reviews: Assist in conducting performance reviews for service team members, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current with trends in the culinary arts and mixology, and collaborate with vendors and team leads on new products and services.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Loch Lloyd Country Club in a professional and polished manner at all times.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to enhance the overall Food & Beverage operation and member experience.

Skills and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in a club or upscale dining setting.
  • Service Industry Experience: Prior experience working in service positions is a plus.
  • Banquet Service Knowledge: Thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service, from set-up to execution.
  • Service Excellence: Strong ability to express service excellence and product knowledge to both staff and members.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: In-depth knowledge of all health department regulations and food safety standards.
  • Certifications: Food Handlers Certification required.
  • Wine Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of wine, including pairings and storage.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar).
Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or drag up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities required to distinguish objects and perform repairs, including close and distant vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Ability to work near mechanical and electrical parts.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
