About the Company:

The Daniel Island Club is a private club located on the north end of Charleston's Island town. We provide year-round, family-friendly recreation for an active and diverse membership. Our extensive amenities include 36-holes of nationally ranked golf and a well-appointed practice facility, an exquisite 65,000 square foot clubhouse with multiple dining options, two resort-style pools, 16 tennis courts, 6 pickleball courts, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervise FOH personnel and operations during assigned shifts
  • Proactively manage the 'Member Experience'
  • Be present and engaged by establishing relationships with the membership
  • Resolve customer service opportunities or other disputes, and mediate staff issues in a fair and patient manner
  • Have service-based leadership style that fosters teamwork and common goals
  • Seek efficiencies in departmental operating costs while maintaining quality of product and service
  • Exercise good judgement and creative problem-solving when faced with challenges
  • Ensure prompt, courteous service is consistently provided to all internal and external customers
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all other departments
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Clubhouse Manager and Director of Club Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two (2) years previous management experience, private club or high-end resort preferred.
  • Very strong beer, wine and liquor knowledge, especially in wine and spirits
  • Knowledge of liquor laws, compliance, and safety, as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and engaging, enthusiastic demeanor
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as scheduling may vary based on business needs.
