The Food & Beverage Manager oversees all food and beverage operations at the Hilton Garden Inn and the Dual Property, consisting of Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites, located in the Irvine Spectrum / Lake Forest area. This includes managing a full-service restaurant, bar operations, breakfast services, and culinary operations. The Manager ensures an exceptional guest experience, operational efficiency, financial performance, and compliance with Hilton brand standards while leading and supporting a dedicated and engaged team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations, including restaurant service, breakfast offerings, bar operations, and culinary activities.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, health regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor quality standards for food preparation, service, and presentation to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels, purchasing, and cost controls to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to support efficiency and quality.
  • Hire, train, coach, and supervise the food and beverage team members.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and regular staff communication to ensure clear expectations and motivation.
  • Evaluate employee performance and support professional development through coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and service-oriented work environment.
  • Proactively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle concerns or complaints professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Develop promotions, events, and service enhancements to drive revenue and guest engagement.
  • Achieve financial goals related to food and beverage revenue, labor management, and cost of goods sold.
  • Review financial reports and operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and business plans for food and beverage operations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Events, and Culinary teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Maintain effective communication with all hotel departments to support smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of food and beverage management experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing restaurant, bar, and breakfast service operations.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with Hilton brand standards and systems.
  • Food Manager Safety Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
