Position: Host/Cashier
Hourly: $16 per hour + shift differential, if applicable (full-time, second shift)
Location: Resort Division
Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Possible Gaming License Requirement: A gaming license is required in this role if the employee reaches a salary threshold of $50,000/year
Candidates hired may be eligible for up to a $500 hiring bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain highest standards of customer service as per resort policies.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Adhere to uniform policies.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests.
- Manage table assignments and communicate guest needs to servers.
- Handle reservations and answer calls following procedures.
- Process monetary transactions accurately and adhere to revenue handling policies.
- Monitor and maintain cash drawer daily.
- Stay updated on menu, beverage selections, and prices.
- Ensure awareness of all activities in assigned sections.
- Monitor and report on server performance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked work area.
- Assist with table setting and clearing as needed.
- Report guest concerns to supervisor promptly.
- Provide accurate information about the facility and assist guests as needed.
- Support organizational goals and demonstrate commitment to team success.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to all resort, departmental, and regulatory policies.
- Comply with Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- Maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications & Education:
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexible availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
- Previous customer service experience preferred; cash handling experience required.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction).
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required if you are 19 years old and under. Position is flex for minors aged 16-17, who have either received a high school diploma or are currently completing their high school education.
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Mobility throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: - Requires constant hand movements involving grasping, holding, and fine manipulation. Tasks include using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Involves constant walking and standing, with potential for kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- Occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to thirty (30) pounds.
- Job necessitates specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work is typically conducted in a casino environment with moderate to high noise levels and exposure to cigarette smoke.
- The work area is smoke-free, with varied noise levels and dust levels, depending on area.
