Nominated as a James Beard 'Outstanding Restaurant', Noodle Bar is David Chang's first Momofuku restaurant. Opened in 2004, Noodle remains Momofuku's flagship location. As the birthplace of our pork buns, Noodle Bar serves ramen as well as a roster of seasonal dishes and chef specials.
Momofuku Noodle FOH managers execute the service vision and stated requirements of Momofuku, Noodle's Executive Chef and/or Chef de Cuisine, and Noodle's General Manager. The FOH Manager will be both responsible for both AM and PM floor management shift, as well as a portion of FOH administrative tasks.
Duties include but not limited to: - Oversee service and service staff through entire shift (shift may be lunch or dinner)
- Work closely with the FOH management team to enforce and direct service standards
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, as well as all Noodle offerings
- Co-management of the restaurant administrative duties - including permitting, inventory management, and light ordering
- Develop FOH staff (training and disciplining)
- Work closely with chefs: acting as the liaison to accomplish BOH's pursuit in serving up to our company standards
- Lead by example in all areas: hard work; punctuality; clear communication with Momofuku offices, other managers, all hourly employees, and guests; and an ability to understand, communicate, and execute all service standards
- Maintain and advance the level of service on the part of the staff
- Ensure guests enjoy the Momofuku experience.
Skills & Requirements - 2+ years of restaurant experience required
- Computer skills a strong plus
- Strong food and beverage knowledge required
- Exceptional service and floor skills
- High volume restaurant experience
- Detail oriented, organized and professional
