About the Role

As a CBRE Engineering Sr. Ops Manager, you will manage a team responsible for implementing, coordinating, and managing all complex mechanical operations for multiple facilities, campuses, or portfolio of buildings.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.

Assist team with difficult operations and maintenance issues.

Manage contractors, subcontractors and engineers on entire maintenance aspect.

Supervise the daily operation of facility controls and asset management systems.

Establish bidding procedures for contract maintenance activities.

Develop annual operating budgets. Evaluate, forecast, and manage operations and maintenance costs for multiple locations.

Schedule maintenance activities aligning with customer operational requirements.

Integrate with clients for reconfiguration, changes and operational requirements.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to embrace a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

Improve and change existing methods, processes and standards within job discipline.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas, and department.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mentality.

Experience preferred in developing and leading organizational budgets.
