We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fluidics Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of fluidic systems for our cutting-edge sequencing platform

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize fluidic systems for high-precision 3D tissue sequencing instruments.
  • Analyze fluid dynamics and solve challenges related to fluid delivery,
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, optical and electrical engineers to integrate fluidic systems with instrumentation.
  • Develop and execute test protocols for evaluating system performance, reliability, and durability.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve fluid-related issues in prototype and production systems.
  • Create detailed documentation, including system designs, specifications, and test reports.
  • Support engineering builds and system validation activities, ensuring smooth transitions from R&D to manufacturing.
  • Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure quality and consistency of fluidic components.
  • Continuously improving system designs to enhance performance, reduce costs, and meet evolving product requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in fluidic system design, preferably for instrumentation in life sciences or medical devices.
  • Strong understanding of microfluidics, fluid dynamics, and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, manifolds, valves, micro-tubing, and other fluidic components.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for designing fluidic assemblies (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Familiarity with fluid modeling and simulation tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in high-throughput sequencing or other biotechnology instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of fluidic system manufacturing processes, including injection molding and machining.
  • Familiarity with reagent delivery systems and consumable cartridge design.
  • Experience with hardware-software integration, particularly in automation and control systems.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers to oversee production processes.
