Work truck is a plus (gas and mileage reimbursed) Full Job Description Floor Coverings International of Long Beach, CA is looking for a top-notch Production Manager to add to our team. This person will take ownership of each and every installation by managing the installation crew and being the conduit between the FCI team and the customer. He/she must be organized, dependable, professional, highly detail oriented, with a can-do attitude and a high level of customer service. And most importantly, a kind and honest person. Job Summary: The FCI Production Manager is a critical team member. He/she is responsible for delivering the installation of multiple projects simultaneously to the level of expectation set in the sale of each project. This position is the key to ensuring that customers have a positive experience and that jobs are produced both efficiently and profitably. The Production Manager is a role that revolves around a high level of customer service, communication, problem solving, and organization along with some technical responsibilities. An eye for detail is vital to making sure that each project looks great before being revealed to the customer. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient and will accept ownership of the role. The Role Manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously any given week Familiarize yourself with the details of each project Ensure that all product needed for job is ordered accurately Consistently monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time Communicate with customers and installers to coordinate installation dates Set proper expectations with customers regarding the installation process and how it will affect their daily lives and the condition of their home/property during installation Provide daily updates to the customer and Design Associate regarding the details of the installation Complete job site visits daily for all projects to check in with installers and customers Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job Deliver on expectations contracted in the sales process Walk the customer through job at completion and collect final payment Lead the production crews and ensure they are producing the quality that is expected Solve problems as they arise Resolve any customer complaints with urgency Assist installation crews with whatever is necessary to finish projects and ensure a clean jobsite Other Duties Assist in ensuring accurate invoicing for each project Carry out small installations or repairs - this often involves transitions and moldings (training available) Lifting up to 80 lbs. on occasion Work with hand tools and power tools alike along with paints, stains, and finishes Keep warehouse and company vehicles organized and presentable Be available to attend training seminars as needed Continually educate yourself on new flooring types and installation methods Work weekly and monthly to hit produced sales goals Make decisions and act in accordance with FCI's core values and mission Compensation and Work Hours This is an hourly position that will be compensated commensurate with experience and qualifications - $25-30/hour, with additional bonus opportunities. Compensation is paid via direct deposit twice monthly. FCI does not provide any healthcare benefits at this time. General hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, varying depending on daily production work flow. Weekend hours are rare, but necessary on occasion.
