The Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum on the National Mall in Washington DC is undergoing an incredible renovation. The National Air & Space Museum Theater Management Team is currently seeking experienced Floor Supervisors to join us in our Planetarium and soon-to-be open IMAX Theater.

We are looking for experienced and customer service focused Full Time Retail Floor Supervisors to drive sales, model and deliver world class customer service, and assist with daily theater & planetarium operations. Our Floor Supervisors will also assist with museum and theater events and premiers, concession and ticket sales, and lead & train a team of Theater Associates.


Qualified candidates will have solid experience and a proven track record in the following:


  • 1 - 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a similar industry - Theater operations experience preferred
  • Inventory Control, Loss Prevention, Crowd Control
  • Theater/Store Opening and Closing experience
  • Cash & Asset Management
  • Ticketing Systems experience preferred
  • Sales and Customer Service Leadership

Applicants must be available nights, weekends and holidays and have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must also be able to stand for long periods of time. Our Theater Team works within a darkened space with sloped and uneven floors with varying noise levels.


Salary: Up to $48k annually, commensurate with experience.
