POSITION SUMMARY
The Float Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for directing the Infection Prevention and Control Program and reviewing annually. The IP has authority to institute infection control measures established through organizational policy and procedures in conjunction with the Infection Control and QAPI Committee. Must review and revise policies and procedures as needed to conform to current standards of practice or to address specific facility concerns. The IP is an integral part of ensuring quality resident care is received in accordance with the Minnesota BON standards and is guided by the Residents' Bill of Rights and abides by the facility Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Infection control is a part of ensuring the safety of residents and to facilitate the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident. This position will travel to various Monarch facilities based on greatest need.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
Current Minnesota Registration as a Registered Nurse
Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care
Preferred
Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living facilities

Must be willing to travel.
Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
