Overview Flight Test Engineer LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Secret CERTIFICATION: TRAVEL: As Needed Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Test Engineer located at the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract in Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Astrion has worked extensively with the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS BS/BA in Engineering (Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or applicable technical specialty in related discipline from an ABET school and 0 to 5 years of aviation related experience. 0 to 5 yrs experience in crewed or uncrewed aircraft/aircraft systems (e.g. flt control, displays, radar, comm/nav) test. Computer networking skills are highly desired along with basic competency with MS Office, Matlab and technical writing. RESPONSIBILITIES Incumbents will serve as a flight test engineer at the Aviation Flight test Directorate, US Army Redstone Test Center responsible for: planning, execution, real-time safety-of-flight data quality monitoring, data analysis, reporting for developmental and/or operational tests of system integrations on the AH-64E helicopter and UAS testing. Incumbents will be focused on the AH-64E aircraft and UAS testing.
