Description We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Flight Test Engineer to join our team supporting NSWC Crane and the Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed Program (MACH-TB) with mission execution and range coordination. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience with guided missile and hypersonic test assets, range/test operations and policy, strategic planning, and multi-agency coordination. Job Responsibilities: Serve as a technical expert for range/test operations, ensuring safety and effectiveness of flight test missions. Develop and implement strategic plans for test and evaluation activities in alignment with Army, Navy, and TRMC objectives. Produce, review, and edit technical reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards. Conduct comprehensive computer air modeling and simulations to support test planning and execution. Identify new weapon systems requirements and direct engineering studies to evaluate range interfaces. Promote sustainability and modernization of test programs to ensure future testing capabilities. Collaborate with various government agencies and industry partners to facilitate program success. Support research efforts and provide technical reviews and presentations to high-level stakeholders. Act as a consensus builder, facilitating effective communication and decision-making among diverse teams. Qualifications REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 20+ years of relevant experience, particularly with systems of systems testing and policy analysis on government programs. Extensive experience at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) and familiarity with its testing facilities and instrumentation. Proven track record of working as a test officer and in roles involving strategic planning, cost estimating, and scientific evaluation. Strong skills in research, leadership, technical review and writing, and presentations. Demonstrated experience in collaborating with government agencies and industry partners, including Coalition, NATO, NASA, DTRA, Navy, Air Force Expertise in identifying new weapon systems requirements and directing engineering studies. Experience in developing strategic plans for test and evaluation activities, promoting range sustainability, and modernizing test programs for future capabilities. Specific experience with Hypersonic Test articles is required. Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS SCI US Citizenship DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
