Your Role:

As a cook at Zaxby's, you will be instrumental in ensuring our guests enjoy quality food served promptly. Responsibilities involve receiving and stocking inventory, preparing and cooking meals, along with maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all training requirements, including:
    • Zaxby's Back of House Development Plan
    • Hands-on station training
    • Any additional training as required
  • Provide friendly and enthusiastic service to every guest.
  • Keep up-to-date with current promotions and actively represent the Zaxby's brand.
  • Assist in front of house operations and guest service as needed.
  • Prepare menu items according to our quality standards in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Ensure food and beverages adhere to safety regulations.
  • Safely operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
  • Maintain product levels in designated stations for efficiency.
  • Assemble and package guest orders accurately.
  • Work diligently to keep the kitchen clean and organized.
  • Notify management of any maintenance needs for equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock deliveries.
  • Follow proper food storage guidelines to maintain freshness.
  • Complete all tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, and climbing may be required.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for preparing food.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and guests.
  • Able to work in varying temperatures and handle food allergens.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment safely, including knives and fryers.
