SUMMARY: In this role, you will provide exceptional design-in support for Flex PCB Assemblies, guiding customers with detailed designs and process requirements. You will engage directly with clients to discuss their design needs, facilitate product application training, and provide vital support for Marketing and Sales efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your contributions will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design Flex PCB Assemblies from concept to volume production.
- Produce drawing support for customers through 3D models, sketches, and detailed customer drawings.
- Build and nurture relationships with key accounts while exploring new market opportunities.
- Collaborate with management, sales staff, and production to assess engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand for products.
- Oversee the design and fabrication of prototypes, models, or samples.
- Evaluate materials based on performance requirements.
- Analyze cost factors to meet customer specifications and provide pricing recommendations.
- Review customer needs and suggest value engineering options for optimization.
- Define new design and process requirements, encompassing materials and overhead considerations.
- Create necessary AirBorn part numbers.
- Offer technical and design support at customer facilities, assisting in the integration of new products.
- Prepare and deliver product marketing presentations to clients.
- Conduct product application training while aiding Sales and Marketing teams.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Candidates should possess knowledge typically acquired through:
- A completed bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Five to ten years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Cadence ORCAD, Altium Designer, CREO, and SolidWorks.
- The ability to read and interpret business materials, professional journals, and technical instructions.
- Proficient use of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written communication skills for reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- The capacity to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from various audiences.
- Mathematical skills to compute figures such as percentages, area, and volume.
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Problem-solving skills in practical scenarios with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret a range of instructions in various forms.
