POSITION SUMMARY

The Fleet Manager role is responsible for maintaining the company's fleet of vehicles and facilities for their location/region. The Fleet Manager collaborates with other members of the Fleet Services team, Field Leadership, and Operations to ensure the maintenance of vehicles and facilities meet business needs and budgetary guidelines.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Develops schedules and procedures for and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company's fleet.
  • Collaborates with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
  • Ensures the timely repair of equipment including ensuring that staff are scheduled in an effective manner.
  • Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
  • Manages equipment costs and reporting, and provide reporting as needed to Fleet and Operations leadership.
  • When an approved vendor is not available in an area, selects a vendor that meets the companies needs.
  • Oversees the tooling warehouse(s) for their location/region.
  • Oversees all facilities for their location/region.
  • Develops and enforces procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all fleet services staff.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to your employees and foster their growth and career advancement.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence throughout the your team.
  • Others duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience with large equipment maintenance
  • 3+ years of management experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and solve issues.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.
