Job Responsibilities & Key Qualities:
- The coordinator will attend in-house training for a minimum of one month at our Spring, TX, office
- Will remain an in-office role until management agrees that hybrid role can commence
- Track shipments and resolve issues between customers, carriers, and the sales team
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships
- Monitor and respond to daily emails and phone calls
- Quote multiple transit modes (Expedited, FTL, PTL) and offer proactive solutions
- Build, source, and schedule shipments; daily bidding on our customer's online portals
- Negotiate, dispatch, and assign carriers with a sense of urgency
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication, with professional phone and email etiquette
- Ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills
- Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Cross-train in other logistics functions as needed
- Participate in team meetings to foster productivity and efficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Punctual and reliable with good attendance
