Apply for this Job

An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, enthusiastic, and progressive training practice in Prudhoe within the Tyne Valley as a fixed-term salaried GP.

Main duties of the job

The role involves all the reasonable duties of a GP in our surgery - surgeries, home visits, duty doctor, and other typical day-to-day GP tasks.

We run a standard appointment system with a mixture of pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments in each surgery.

Patients can choose appointment types, and we offer a full range of remote and online consultation methods.

On-call duty involves triaging visit requests and any remaining on-the-day requests without an appointment. The on-call is split into either a morning or afternoon session.

We run a flexible usual GP system. Patients can choose who they see, but continuity is valued and encouraged.

We encourage participation in the practice time-out sessions and ICB PLT sessions. We offer paid CPD in addition to your annual leave entitlement, and it is expected that CPD is done during this time.
