We have an exciting opportunity for a Fitness Supervisor at our multisite client location in Pensacola, FL.
Responsible for coordinating, implementing, and/or delivering health and fitness programs and services, promotions, and community outreach activities. Also be responsible for providing outstanding service to members & program participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities: - Overall supervision of fitness room, group fitness studio and equipment.
- Maintains a safe, clean environment for members including cleaning, scheduling maintenance of equipment, adhering to current precautions.
- Provides individual and group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness. This includes in-person and establishing virtual fitness offerings.
- Promotes program offerings, plans, and implements community recreational activities including, but not limited to, youth sports, summer camp, swim lessons, special events, etc.
- Oversees the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of part-time employees.
- Conducts fitness testing and assessments and advises participants of results; designs individualized programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals.
- Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants; enrolls new participants and conducts facility, program, and equipment orientations.
- Oversees and is responsible for area specific budgets including tracking participation, expenses, revenue generation and debt retirement of equipment.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree or higher in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Recreation or related field.
- A minimum of one year of practical experience in a professional fitness/wellness setting.
- Current Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute. ( Note: certification must have an in-person component and not 100% online/OSHA compliant) required by start date.
- Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA (if not current will have 90 days to obtain).
- Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider (if not current will have 90 days to obtain).
- Training and proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage programs and activities.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Compensation: $18/Hour - $21/Hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
