Your Role:
Responsible for participating in all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance of the Fitness Center. Provides safe, motivating, and effective exercise instruction with excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate others.
This Job Description outlines the duties and responsibilities for the above position. The duties outlined herein include: planning, administration, logistical preparation, budgeting, marketing & promotions, instruction, and actual execution of the programs. In no way does this position require any participation in any events and is strongly discouraged.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a presence and provide customer service at the secondary location
- Assist with day to day operations of the fitness center; Communicate issues or complications directly to the Fitness Manager
- Incentive Programming
- Group exercise class instruction-teaches a minimum of 5 group exercise hours per week
- Wellness Initiatives (bulletin boards, newsletters, lunch n learns)
- Health Education and Promotion
- Fitness Assessments, Fitness Center Orientations, Exercise Prescriptions and Equipment orientations
- Membership retention/enrollment
- Floor supervision and equipment maintenance
- Managing our social media profile on Facebook
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Fitness workouts
- Emergency protocols
What we are looking for:
- Certifications: CPR and AED required, BS in Exercise Science or related field
- Experience: Previous experience in personal training and teaching group exercise preferred, or interest in learning
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, Google Suite, and Canva
