Summary Objective: As the Fitness Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the fitness facility, fostering a supportive, secure, and motivating environment for both members and staff. Your mission will be to build and lead a skilled team of trainers to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction, while consistently achieving revenue and performance targets.
Essential Functions: - Provide the ultimate fitness experience for every member on each visit
- Recruit, hire, and cultivate a talented team of fitness professionals
- Manage daily operations and fitness programs within the center
- Contribute to overall club operations as part of the management team
- Conduct orientations for new members, offering movement analysis and exercise preparation
- Offer continuous feedback and formal evaluations for team members

Job Responsibilities: - Develop safe and effective personalized fitness programs for members
- Create and manage revenue forecasts for training offerings while effectively managing expenses
- Maintain comprehensive personnel records and ensure trainer certifications are current
- Confirm that trainers fulfill required training obligations
- Oversee trainers' attendance and submit accurate payroll each month
- Handle personal training billing and accounting procedures
- Track and schedule personal training sessions
- Meet with the General Manager at least once monthly
- Report safety concerns or member injuries to the General Manager and complete necessary documentation
- Conduct weekly equipment inspections, manage inventory, and report repair needs
- Facilitate clear communication with members regarding requests or schedule adjustments
- Respond to member or guest inquiries within 48 hours
- Exemplify and uphold employee conduct standards and ethics
- Ensure adherence to club facilities, services, programs, and emergency procedures
- Serve as Manager On Duty as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Be available for early morning, evening, and weekend shifts as required

Required Experience, Education, & Certifications: - Certification from a nationally recognized personal training program approved by US Fitness
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, kinesiology, or related field is preferred
- Experience in fitness management and personal training is an advantage
Relocation: Candidates from outside the area are encouraged to apply, but if selected for an interview, they will be responsible for their travel expenses. Relocation assistance is not available.
