Description The Central Connecticut Coast Y (CCCY) is seeking a dynamic Fitness Instructor to lead group classes in a welcoming, safe, and positive environment. You'll inspire and motivate participants of all fitness levels to achieve their goals through fun, engaging, and educational sessions. In this role, you'll be instrumental in building a community of health and wellness while ensuring the YMCA's mission of fostering a cause-centered culture.
Requirements- Certification in relevant fitness areas
- At least one year of group exercise experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate fitness instructor skills per YMCA standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for helping others and adapting to diverse needs
- Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (within 60 days of hire)
- YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification (within 60 days of hire)
- Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays
