Summary Objective:

As a Fitness Coach, you will create and deliver engaging personal training workouts tailored to a diverse clientele. Your primary focus will be on building a solid client base and attracting new personal training clients in collaboration with the Fitness Director and the Personal Training team.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide an exceptional fitness experience for every member at all times.
  • Conduct new member orientations, including pre-exercise biometrics and goal assessments.
  • Develop customized fitness programs that align with individual member goals established during orientation.
  • Grow and maintain an active personal training client base.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the member experience through cleanliness and engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design safe and effective exercise programs.
  • Implement exercise programs for a variety of members.
  • Keep precise and detailed records of client progress.
  • Achieve a minimum of 12 client sessions per week.
  • Utilize prospecting techniques, including hosting special events and engaging during floor hours, as defined by the Fitness Director.
  • Interact and connect with members during floor hours to meet training minimums.
  • Maintain an average booking rate of 20 percent during floor hours for personal training opportunities.
  • Evaluate potential clients using the Exercise Readiness Questionnaire and Member Profile.
  • Accurately manage and record your schedule.
  • Communicate current availability with the Fitness Director.
  • Plan holiday schedules and personal time ahead to ensure clients can be referred to substitutes as needed.
  • Provide monthly forecasts of training sessions during the third week of each month.
  • Adhere to established standards of conduct and ethics.
  • Comprehend and uphold club policies regarding facilities, services, programs, and emergency protocols.
  • Complete all assigned in-house training.
  • Work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication capabilities.

Required Experience, Education & Certifications:
  • Possession of a nationally recognized personal training certification from an approved US provider is mandatory.
  • Current CPR/AED certification is required.
  • Engagement in professional development and continuing education to maintain national certification annually, as per the Fitness Director's guidance.
