Union: Job Description: Summary: Works under the direction of the head coach to assist in all aspects associated with the operation of a successful NCAA Division I program. Specifically, the Assistant Volleyball Coach will assist in coaching athletes in particular positions (front court or back court) as determined by experience and at the direction of Head Coach; assist with recruiting, administrative communications & office organization; supervise and manage the program's video equipment & video library. This position works under general supervision.
Essential Functions: - Assists in the training and coaching of student-athletes in designated positions based on previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience and as determined by the head coach.
- Responsible for developing student-athletes to compete successfully at regular season games, conference tournament and NCAA tournament through proper match management, tactical adjustments, post-game & video review critiques & evaluations.
- Responsible for the conduct and workout logistics of select student-athletes in the absence of the head coach.
- Assists in recruiting efforts to attract quality student-athletes to the program. Evaluates prospective student-athletes' athletic performances through video and in-person evaluations.
- Scouts opponent's matches to assist in developing a clear game plan to be conveyed to student athletes. Maintains records on game statistics, strategies, and personnel.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach to support the team.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Salary Range: Required Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Likelihood of Emergency Work Outside of Normal Work hours (Required for Union Positions).
Preferred Education and Experience: Travel Required: - Travel locally, regionally and nationally for competition and potentially internationally for recruiting. After hours and weekend work frequently required to attend games and related athletic events.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: - Commitment and ability to maintain and exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience as a volleyball athlete at the collegiate or professional level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
