About the Position:
Our client, a busy Chicago boutique law firm with a focus on non-profit organizations, is actively seeking a Firm Administrator to oversee all administrative operations of the law firm. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience performing a myriad of duties including payroll, bookkeeping, benefits management, IT assistance, and management of a small number of non-attorney staff.

Responsibilities:
Perform/facilitate accounting functions including payroll, billing, financial statement preparation, banking, accounts payable, cash flow management, and collections
Handle budget preparation and financial bookkeeping
Correspond with outside accountants for audits, tax returns, and other reports
Manage administrative employees
Train staff on firm procedures and information systems
Recruit and assist with hiring (non-attorney employees) and performance evaluations
Manage HR and benefits matters with internal staff as well as outside vendors
Assist employees with IT issues that arise
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a senior management position
8+ years of bookkeeping experience
Bachelor's or associate's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field preferred
Proficient with legal office software (Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, Sage TimeSlips)
Advanced understanding of office management practices including accounting procedures and information systems
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000.
