Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team. Established in 1979, we are a small but growing company looking to expand our operations and bring on talented professionals to help drive our success. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fire sprinkler system installations, modifications, and repairs. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of fire protection systems, and the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. This is a salary position.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems.

Perform material take-offs and labor estimates to determine project costs.

Research and procure pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to develop accurate and competitive bids.

Ensure all estimates comply with local codes, industry standards, and client requirements.

Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals, including scope of work, pricing, and timelines.

Track and manage bid opportunities, following up with clients as needed.

Maintain updated cost databases and estimation tools for accurate pricing.

Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs while maintaining compliance and performance standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Estimator or in a similar role in the fire protection industry.

Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA codes, and industry regulations.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.

Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

NICET certification is preferred but not required.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
