Fire and Security Service Engineer - Cornwall Job Description

We have a great career opportunity for a Service Engineer to join one of Cornwall's leading independent installation and maintenance companies that uphold a great reputation of quality and value in their workforce. As a Service Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for delivering high-quality service and technical support to our clients. You will play a key role in maintaining and servicing our installations, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on fire alarm systems, VSS (CCTV) systems, and other security systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Diagnose technical issues with fire alarm systems, VSS (CCTV) cameras, and other security systems promptly and efficiently.
  • Respond to emergency service calls, demonstrating a speedy and effective approach to resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Implement working standards and current legislation in day-to-day work.
Requirements
  • Significant experience as a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer.
  • Strong IT skills and understanding of Networks and Network Connected Devices.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
  • Flexible attitude and approach, including excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in an on-call rota.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
