Fintech Account Manager/Senior Account Manager (Vertical: Hedge Funds)

Midtown NYC (Hybrid, 4 days in office)

Base salary:

Senior Account Manager: $125-150k DOE, plus commissions plus potential for a draw the first year during ramp-up phase


Our client is a leading global provider of financial technology solutions, consulting, and digital managed services to the asset management and alternative investment industries. They are seeking a proven Senior Account Manager who understands asset management and the alternative investment ecosystem, along with the evolving technology landscape.


The account management team focuses on developing long-term partnerships with strategic customers. They work to deeply understand client needs and develop tailored offerings that enhance customer value and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings strong account management expertise, a background in consultative sales, and a history of managing complex client relationships within hedge funds and alternative investment firms.


Responsibilities of the Senior Fintech Account Manager:

  • Manage a dedicated territory and client list as a strategic Senior Account Manager
  • Define and execute account growth strategies through targeted campaigns
  • Create and manage comprehensive account plans detailing areas of engagement and growth opportunities
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify new opportunities and assist in closing new business
  • Negotiate and close renewals while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts

Qualifications of the Senior Fintech Account Manager:

  • 5+ years of experience in fintech software sales and/or account management, specifically working with hedge fund clients
  • Proven track record of managing a $3M USD book of business with consistent ARR growth of 10-15%
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Asset management and alternative investments
  • Trade lifecycle and operations
  • Buy side systems and vendor platforms
  • Evolving buy side technology landscape
  • Demonstrated success in executive-level client communications and delivering impactful presentations
  • Proven experience engaging with C-level stakeholders and senior decision-makers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with external clients, organizations, and stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership teams and contributing to strategic discussions
