Position - FinOps Cloud Engineer

Location - Oakland, California

Job Type - Contract Position

Please find the job description that we can use to raise a JO to start looking for an external candidate:

• Expertise in deploying and optimizing infrastructure on Azure.
• Experience with Automation in Azure (ARM templates, Terraform, Automation workbooks etc.)
• Understanding of Azure costs, reservations, savings plans and negotiated savings.
• Experience with implementing optimizations such as reserved instances, savings plans, backup optimization, data archival, power cycling etc.
• Experience with setting up autoscaling for Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• One or more FinOps certifications to understand the FinOps process.
• Experience with using Azure Cost Manager and Azure Advisor
• Experience with using Cloud ability.
• Knowledge / experience with Apptio
• Experience in creating cost optimized deployment architecture.
