Overview

The Financial Systems Application Developer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and support of the applications and databases related to the Firm's various accounting systems. They will serve as the technical resource and point of contact on implementations and upgrades related to the firm's accounting and finance software platform. As a key player in our dynamic development team, the Application Developer position will offer the chance to work on major projects, leveraging Microsoft's robust .NET framework to build, deploy, and maintain scalable and high-performance financial applications. Responsibilities

Provide on-going support to the users of all financial systems (3E and all related/integrated applications), acting as first point of contact for technical issues.
Develop and implement tools for dissemination of financial information to the firm via reports, inquiries, and dashboards (utilizing SQL, SSRS, Power BI and other ad hoc reporting solutions.
Create complex SQL stored procedures, views, etc. based on business needs.
Design, develop, and maintain software applications using the .NET framework (VB.NET, C )
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming (and other) languages.
Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.
Troubleshoot and debug applications.
Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Test and deploy applications and systems.
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate these issues.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $100,000 to $120,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years relevant experience, ideally obtained in a law-firm environment.

Experience with 3E implementations and maintenance is preferred.
Knowledge of the features, functionality, and operations of 3E or Aderant and all other applications that interface with these accounting systems is beneficial.
Strong knowledge of .NET framework and its languages (C , VB.NET).
Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns.
Good understanding of REST APIs and services.
Proficiency in database management and SQL, including Microsoft Analytical Services and MDX
Familiarity with Elite Design Gallery (EDG) development is a plus.
Strong background in web development using XML/XSLT transformation. XPATH experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
