Primary Purpose

Provide functional support to the finance and feeder communities as related to all General Ledger, Account Reconciliation and Consolidation processes and tools at Exelon

Primary Duties

Provide PeopleSoft application support for book close process, allocations and financial transaction data validation.

Perform configuration management, test and implement system fixes, updates and enhancements by working closely with Exelon IT, Corporate Accounting and the Finance Community

Coordinate changes that impact other financial systems such as budgeting/forecasting, fixed asset accounting, Tax and various feeders

Maintain required documentation to support Sarbanes Oxley controls and audit requests

Facilitate process improvement through use of technology

Respond to help desk tickets, data requests and perform special projects as assigned

Provide functional support to the finance and feeder communities as related to all General Ledger, Account Reconciliation and Consolidation processes and tools at Exelon.

Job Scope

The position is an application support role, requiring knowledge of accounting and consolidation systems and business processes. Requires the ability to do impact analysis on system change requests and the ability to analyze and diagnose system issues in an accurate and timely manner. This position interacts directly with accounting and IT personnel, therefore strong communication skills and a customer service orientation are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or computer science

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or accounting systems related position

• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and teams concurrently

• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure

• Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity

• Solid analytical capabilities

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities

• Strong aptitude of accounting systems and technology

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA in Finance, Accounting or Systems

• CPA or other financial certification

• Public Accounting experience

• Utility industry experience

• Systems support experience

• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft v9.2 and/or Hyperion Financial Management v11.1.2.4
