The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the oversight, optimization, and daily management of financial systems-primarily Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning and Oracle (minor interaction with Oracle). This role serves as the primary support contact for finance-related system functionality, business unit and hierarchy setup, user access updates, developing and writing reports within Workday and Adaptive, and inter-system mapping across Workday, Adaptive Insights, Oracle, Eclipse, Mincron and ADP. The ideal candidate combines strong systems knowledge with a detailed understanding of accounting and finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration & Support
  • Serve as the primary support resource for finance-related questions in Workday, including business unit setup, hierarchy maintenance, and expense report troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and respond to support requests through platforms such as ServiceNow, escalating or resolving as needed.
  • Update and maintain financial mappings (e.g., account structures, spend cats, business units) across systems to ensure alignment.
  • Assist with Adaptive Insights and Workday structures to support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
Operational Support
  • Makes sure accounts stay in balance across entities and helps identify when they are not in balance and helps propose a solution.
  • Maintain financial data integrity and ensure accurate reporting across systems (Workday, Adaptive, etc.).
  • Review and resolve Workday Supplier Invoice (SINV) issues and escalate any exceptions to the Accounts Payable team.
  • Validate expense submissions and cardholder listings for policy compliance.
  • Address ad hoc changes to branch setup, regional structures, or allocation rules.
Governance & Optimization
  • Own and maintain documentation for system configurations and user support guides.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved data flow between systems.
  • Partner with IT and third-party providers on enhancements and configuration changes.
  • Support change management efforts for new process implementations impacting financial systems.
Reporting & Collaboration
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and AP teams to streamline reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Act as the bridge between finance users and technical teams to translate functional needs into system requirements.
  • Provide end-user training and ongoing system education to finance teams.
  • Develops and writes reports for use by Finance within Workday and Adaptive.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems support or finance operations, preferably in a multi-entity, international environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials required; experience with Adaptive Insights a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
