POSITION SUMMARY The Financial Systems Administrator will play a key role in systems analysis, administration, and related projects. This position will use a solid accounting background and working knowledge of Blackline, SQL, MS Office, and scripting to grow as a Financial Systems Administrator and provide strategic guidance, process improvement, and technical support related to financial accounting operations excellence including but not limited to administration, data management, reporting and reconciliation, and Process improvement. Work involves a high level of independent judgment, accuracy, and initiative.
CORE FUNCTIONS - Administer Blackline.
- Manage the monthly closing and reconciliation processes related to Blackline
- Provide technical support and assist in troubleshooting to resolve issues related to BlackLine
- Maintain controlled processes for loading and validating data.
- Manage mapping changes, support system security.
- Ensure proper change control processes, problem, and security management activities to support the Blackline environment.
- Assist with system configuration / modification to support acquisitions, divestitures, retrospective application of new accounting standards, and execute plans, e.g., develop reports to meet local reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of data sources and data outputs.
- Support Hyperion Financial Management for change control, enhancements and end user support.
- Support Lease management software and Fixed Asset software.
- Create and implement process improvements which includes testing, validating, and documenting change process.
- Responsible for training new users and assisting current users.
- Provide support for Internal and External reporting.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of finance, accounting and systems related experience required.
- 3+ years Blackline administration, consulting, or support experience required.
- Experience with SOX, internal/external controls, and IT audits
- Practical knowledge of a business-oriented programing language preferably VB or Python.
- Experience using a ticketing system such as Jira or ServiceNow a plus
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, and/or FDMEE.
Skills and Abilities - Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint skillsets (VBA, etc.)
- Basic SQL skills
- Experience with scripting
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Physical Activities - This position is subject to the following physical activities: heating, talking, the use of fingers to pick, pinch, or type, the use of hands, wrists, and arms through repetitive motions to reach or feel.
Visual Acuity - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions - This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
