In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight of Financial Reporting for Funds domiciled in Luxembourg, including SICAVs, LDI, and RAIF. You will also oversee investor tax reporting, including Austrian, German, Swiss, and UK tax compliance. Collaboration with external partners such as auditors, administrators, and typesetters is essential to ensure accurate and timely filing of financial statements in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams, including Fund Accounting Oversight, Change, Tax, Legal, Performance, Compliance, and Product.
How you'll spend your time
- Review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Manage financial reporting timetables effectively, escalating concerns promptly.
- Respond to audit queries and findings promptly, ensuring closure before the next reporting cycle.
- Coordinate reporting cycles with auditors and administrators, including internal sign-offs and approvals by the Fund Board.
- Collaborate with outsourced partners such as fund administrators and auditors.
- Work closely with colleagues within the Management Company.
- Address issues and implement efficiencies in a timely manner.
- Raise risk events promptly and ensure solutions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Review annual audit fee budgets, audit findings reports, and Letters of Representation.
- Present financial statements at Board meetings.
- Ensure high-quality service from outsourced suppliers.
- Maintain open and effective relationships internally and externally.
- Operate, maintain, and enhance the financial reporting oversight framework.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely investor tax reporting.
- Work with internal teams and outsourced providers to evaluate and implement regulatory and business-driven changes, applying best practices where applicable.
- Assist with Funds domiciled in other jurisdictions as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Qualified accountant
- Extensive knowledge of Lux GAAP
- Strong knowledge of Lux SICAV products
- Understanding of Investor Tax reporting
- Good communication skills
It would be great if you also had
- LDI and RAIF product knowledge (desirable)
- Experience working in an outsourced environment
- Knowledge of derivatives
- Fund accounting experience
