The FP&A Principal will work closely with the SVP, FP&A and Corporate Development and play a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic decision-making. This individual contributor position requires a highly analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to influence business outcomes through data-driven insights and partner with other teams to develop those insights. The role will focus on delivering strategic financial and operational analysis to support the development of long-term financial strategies, enhance the company's financial performance, and drive enterprise value.
What You'll Do:
- Develop sophisticated financial models that support financial and operational decision making across a variety of business objectives to drive enterprise value.
- Partner cross-functionally, especially with Data Science, Business Operations/Sales Operations, and Accounting teams to develop insights.
- Provide actionable recommendations to business executives to achieve business goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and return on investment (ROI) calculations.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to address emerging business questions, provide insight into critical decisions, and support business initiatives.
- Take a heavy analytical role in special projects including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), capital investments, and market expansion.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is highly preferred, relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Five+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles, with a proven track record of delivering impactful financial insights in a strategic capacity.
- Investment Banking and/or Transaction Advisory experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to build complex financial models and perform in-depth analysis.
- Experience with data processing/visualization tools and SQL/Python preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Experience with Advanced Financial Modeling (circular models, LBOs, etc.) required.
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally and distill complex analysis into executive-level insights is a must.
- Deep understanding of financial statements, key business drivers, and industry trends. Ability to apply financial insights to real-world business problems and strategies.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
