Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Financial Management Specialist to support our client at Hanscom Air Force Base. This role requires expertise in DoD financial policies, acquisition budgeting, and funds management to ensure compliance and efficiency in military financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Compliance Ensure adherence to DoD 7000.14, AF 65-series instructions, and relevant fiscal policy controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting Prepare program budgets, financial reports, and conduct variance analysis to improve funding strategies.
DoD Acquisition Support Apply knowledge of DoD 5000.2 acquisition phases to support financial planning across multiple programs.
Funds Management Track and manage Investment Budget Authority, O&M Budget Authority, Reimbursable Budget Authority, and more.
Financial Reporting & Analysis Compile data for audits, financial assessments, and program execution reviews using DoD financial systems.
Contract & Funding Documentation Draft Purchase Requests, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests, and other financial documents.
Data Management & Tools Utilize CCaRS, CRIS, WAWF, FM Suite, and classified financial systems for data tracking and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
Active Secret Clearance Required
Education & Experience:
Knowledge of DoD financial regulations, acquisition processes, and contracting structures
Strong analytical skills to assess budget execution, funding variances, and financial risks
Experience with financial systems, budget formulation, and forecasting models
Ability to draft financial reports, briefings, and acquisition documentation
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment
