Job Type: Full-Time, Government Contract Clearance : Secret Job Overview: ASRC Federal is seeking a highly qualified Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Department of Defense (DoD) financial improvement and audit initiatives. The selected candidate will provide expertise in financial auditing, compliance, and reporting to ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Key Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise on DoD financial improvement and audit readiness efforts. Conduct financial audits using GAAP and ensure compliance with GAGAS. Analyze and assess financial processes, internal controls, and reporting mechanisms. Develop and implement strategies to improve financial accuracy and compliance. Prepare audit documentation, financial reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks within DoD financial management systems. Collaborate with government officials, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with DoD financial policies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in accountingor a related field from an accredited institution. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of audit experience in the DoD. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAGASas applied in DoD financial audits. Regulatory Compliance: Experience ensuring compliance with federal financial regulations and audit standards. Clearance: Secret Required. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification preferred. Prior experience supportingDoD financial improvement initiatives.
