The Financial Crime Compliance VP is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of the target state AML operating model across the Group. This includes supporting the accountabilities and responsibilities across the first and second lines of defence, developing detailed implementation plans, and working with stakeholders to ensure delivery.

To be successful as a Financial Crime Compliance VP, you should have:

  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry and AML Transformation projects
  • Experience in Business Analysis and Business Change, including stakeholder engagement and drafting design papers
  • Good understanding of 1st and 2nd line of defence financial crime capabilities and their interaction
  • Experience in designing and implementing risk management operating models and embedding responsibilities across processes, systems, and controls

Purpose of the role

To provide data-led oversight and challenge on business and compliance matters, ensuring the organization operates in compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Accountabilities

  • Assess compliance risks through reviews of activities, changes, processes, testing, and systems
  • Investigate potential market abuse, including Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation, or Anti-Competitive Conduct
  • Conduct investigations of compliance risk events or breaches and oversee corrective actions
  • Implement compliance policies aligned with regulatory requirements and international standards
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to manage compliance and risk
  • Identify and oversee potential money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes
