A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a fast-paced and forward-thinking marketing agency based in Central London. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role offers significant ownership, variety, and exposure to senior leadership.
We're looking for a commercially minded individual with strong management accounting experience, excellent Excel skills, and preferably media sector exposure.
Key responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day finance operations across UK and EU entities
Manage and mentor a junior accountant, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and group financial reporting
Ensure VAT, tax, and compliance requirements are met
Manage intercompany balances and cash flow forecasts
Liaise with auditors and support year-end processes
Approve supplier payments and expenses
Provide finance support across departments and deliver internal training
Use MediaOcean and Excel for reporting and analysis
About you:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong understanding of management accounting and financial controls
Confident communicator with leadership skills
Highly analytical with a proactive, hands-on approach
Prior media or agency experience (preferred)
Skilled in Excel; MediaOcean experience is a plus
Up to £80,000 pa + performance-based bonus
