Contract Accountant / FP&A Specialist - Manufacturing IndustryWe are currently recruiting for a Contract Financial Analyst / FP&A Specialist to support a well-established manufacturer during a pivotal transition period. This is a high-impact contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Our client is seeking a finance and accounting professional with a strong background in manufacturing, solid ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills. While a CPA and experience with Visual Manufacturing ERP are considered a plus, they are
not required.Position OverviewAs a key contributor within the Finance & Accounting team, the Contract Financial Analyst will focus on budgeting, forecasting, month-end close support, and financial reporting. This role will partner cross-functionally with operations and senior leadership to provide actionable insights and improve reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities - Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes (rolling forecasts, annual budget, 5-year strategic plans)
- Develop financial models and perform variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Assist with monthly close activities including journal entries, system postings, and internal reporting
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial reports and dashboards
- Perform financial statement analysis and key account reconciliations
- Identify and implement process improvements to automate and streamline repetitive reporting tasks
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Collaborate with AR/AP teams as needed to ensure continuity of operations
Preferred Background - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA is a plus, not required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or FP&A roles
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required
- ERP system proficiency is essential (Visual Manufacturing experience is a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, nested formulas, etc.) required
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
