Our client is a mission-driven behavioral healthcare organization specializing in substance abuse and mental health treatment, with five locations dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Their integrated services support individuals and families on their journey to recovery and mental wellness. They are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join the finance team and support strategic decision-making across all sites. Position Summary: The Financial Analyst will report directly to the CFO and play a critical role in supporting the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This role involves financial reporting and analysis, accounting support, data gathering, payroll coordination, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts across multiple programs and locations. Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial statements, trends, and performance metrics to support business decisions. Develop, maintain, and distribute regular financial reports and dashboards for leadership and program managers. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for all five locations. Collect and consolidate financial and operational data from various departments and sites. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including variance analysis and cost assessments. Support accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. Coordinate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate payroll reporting and analysis. Monitor revenue, expenses, and cash flow to help identify areas of risk or improvement. Assist in preparing documentation for audits, grant compliance, and regulatory reporting. Participate in the development of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling as requested by the CFO or leadership team.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar).
Solid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-site environment.
Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement models, grants, and behavioral health billing a plus.
