ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to support our premier client's Advertising Sales Finance team, focusing on Operating Expenses (OpEx) and Headcount reporting. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage financial planning processes, develop reporting mechanisms, and provide strategic insights to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage short-term and long-term financial forecasting processes for OpEx and Headcount within the Advertising Sales Finance organization.
- Develop mechanisms and reporting to increase visibility and create insights for senior leadership.
- Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using tools such as Excel.
- Drive core financial processes including month-end close, Annual Operating Plan, long-range Strategic Plan, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Complete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and deep dive on cost structures.
- Drive accountability of financial plans/forecasts and challenge assumptions where necessary.
- Standardize planning/forecasting cycles across various regions and program teams.
- Partner closely with multiple regional finance leaders and FP&A organizations to establish robust forecasting models and variance analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 2+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
