Financial Analyst

Review profitability calculations company-wide, by sales channel, product line, and by order, utilizing knowledge of US GAAP and financial accounting. Actively improve profitability. Monitor product pricing across all online marketplace daily. Ensure products are prices and listed correctly and are not sold at a loss, including all shipping charges, taxes, and discounts are set at the correct rate. Review annual sales results and monthly sales results of all products, and sales results of newly launched products during the first 90-day period utilizing knowledge of financial accounting. Identify any trend, seasonality or anomalies and present findings to the Financial Controller and the CEO. Create and review high-value Purchase Order and make sure all the information is correct before sending them to vendors. Monthly reconciliation between revenue recognized and payments collected from customers. Calculate monthly commissions paid to our vendors. Perform cost-benefit analysis or differential analysis to help the Financial Controller and the CEO make business decisions from multiple options. Prepare ad-hoc reports by collecting and analyzing large datasets; Present findings and provide actionable insights to Financial Controller and CEO. Perform business process audit, evaluate existing business process, identify any risks or inefficiencies, and improve/automate business process using ERP, business management software, SQL, and mass data uploads. Participate in IT migration projects; Ensure all necessary data are moved to the new system/software accurately and the reporting module of the new system is functioning properly.
The position is fixed location based in Concord, MA office; however, telecommuting permitted up to 50% of the time.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
1 year of Accounting or Finance experience in the retail or manufacturing industry. Experience must include:

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently)
Internal audit
Business process mapping & optimization
US GAAP
Financial accounting (revenue)
Financial accounting (cost or expense)
Managerial Accounting
Data manipulation
Hands-on experience with ERP system or other similar business management software or SaaS
Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Analytics, or a directly related field
