Job Details

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The role will support the Controller with financial reporting and analysis, preparation for audits, and other projects and duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

As a Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
2. Managing the monthly close process and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
3. Reviewing and analyzing the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy.
4. Performing monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, including cash, marketable securities, capital leases, prepaids, property and equipment, inventory, and accrued liabilities.
5. Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Perform monthly lumber inventory counts.
7. Providing leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred but not required.
3. A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the construction industry.
4. Proficient in monthly reporting, monthly close process, accounting, reviewing general ledger, and performing monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
5. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
